Welcome to the Rights Now Project.

Our goal is to make all Yukon youth aware of the human rights that protect each and every Yukon resident from discrimination, bullying, sexual harassment, and other unfortunate realities of our society.

The Rights Now site features articles, pictures, and videos about important human rights issues that affect Yukon youth.

On occasion this blog will feature guest columnists with expertise on certain issues, and may have their own human rights story to tell as well. But most of the info, links, videos, and pictures that appear on this blog will be posted by our staff writers:

Sofia Fortin

is a communications analyst and rights advocate/warrior with the Rights Now Project team.

Lillian Nakamura Maguire

is a human rights educator with the Yukon Human Rights Commission.

Heather MacFadgen

is the executive director of the Yukon Human Rights Commission, and a legal expert in human rights law.
